About us
Castle Masonry is a hardscape and masonry contractor based in Sandwich, working the whole Cape and across to Martha's Vineyard. Patios, walkways, walls, steps, pool surrounds, fire features — in paver, bluestone, travertine, granite and fieldstone.
What we care about is the base. Cape Cod sits on glacial outwash: sand and gravel that drains well and carries load poorly. A surface set on a thin base looks identical on the day it is finished and starts telling on itself within two winters. So we excavate to subgrade, build in lifts, compact each one, and detail the drainage before anything decorative goes down.
How we work
We carry comprehensive general liability insurance, so your property is covered while the work is going on. We handle the state and town permits, including the review that applies in historic districts — the part that usually stalls a project.
You will know who is coming and when. We stage material once, keep the site tidy, and we are not finished until the grade around the work drains the way it should.
